Ever since Amira Othman and Fattah Amin tied the knot, there have been rumours and speculation that the couple are expecting their first child together. This stems from the singer’s recent admission to a hospital.
After remaining silent on the matter, the star has finally addressed the real reason she was in the hospital. Here’s what she said:
For context, Amira Othman has been in the hospital since early last week. Her husband, Fattah Amin, has been keeping fans updated on her recovery, but as there was no explanation for her admission, many speculated that she might be pregnant and experiencing complications.
As it turns out, that wasn’t the case. Speaking to the media, the 32-year-old explained that she had been suffering from bronchitis and experiencing difficulty breathing. “It’s my second time experiencing this. Alhamdulillah, I’m recovering well, but I’m still coughing a lot, so it will take some time,” she said. The “Rasa & Takdir” songstress added that she was meant to fly to South Korea for work with her husband, but doctors advised her to cancel the trip until she makes a full recovery.
When asked if she was ready to become a mother, Amira said that she would share the exciting news when the time comes and asked everyone to keep her and Fattah Amin in their prayers. “Everyone is so curious, but I’m not offended by the questions. Just pray that Allah will answer our prayers,” she said.
Since the couple only recently tied the knot, it may be some time before they consider adding a new member to their family. Until then, we wish Amira a speedy recovery!
