You can imagine fans’ excitement when it was officially confirmed that singer Amira Othman and actor Fattah Amin would soon be tying the knot. Their solemnisation ceremony is set to take place later this weekend and will be broadcast online for all to witness.
Like many brides-to-be, the songstress celebrated with a bachelorette party attended by close friends, though she chose to keep the occasion more halal. Not only that, guests also dressed in modest attire, both in support of Amira and in celebration of the upcoming wedding. Here’s what went down:
Yesterday (Tuesday, 9th September), Amira Othman and unifi shared a joint video of her recent bachelorette Usrah. For context, Usrah means “family” or “study circle” and, in an Islamic context, refers to a small, informal gathering of Muslims who meet regularly to foster spiritual growth, mutual support and a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings and values through shared activities.
With this in mind, it was no surprise that all her friends attended the celebration dressed in pastel-coloured traditional garments from head to toe, such as the baju kurung. Her star-studded guest list included actresses Bella Astillah, Nora Danish, Betty Rahmad and Amyra Rosli, singer Nabila Razali and Wani Hasrita, and television host Hawa Rizwana.
As seen in the video below, the bride-to-be and her Usrah members shared a wonderful meal and took part in a heartfelt discussion, during which some were seen wiping away tears – presumably out of joy at Amira’s forthcoming marriage. Overall, it appeared to be a lovely day among friends. Fans and fellow celebrities alike took to the comments section to congratulate and offer prayers to the singer on her upcoming wedding to Fattah Amin.
