Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong (RPA) Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah are known for being friendly and down-to-earth. Many who have encountered the King and Queen have nothing but praise for the royal couple.
American YouTube couple Kyle and Maddie were lucky enough to bump into His Majesty during their trip in Cameron Highlands recently. The couple took to YouTube to share with viewers on their short but sweet encounter with the King.
At the beginning of the video, Kyle and Maddie can be seen exploring some of the tourist attractions in the mountains. it then cut to the exciting moment when they learnt of the Agong’s arrival. “We were sitting in a restaurant eating lunch. A local told us the King is headed this way. So, we’re about to go and see the special impromptu occasion,” Kyle said.
Several people flocked to meet and greet the royal couple up close. She later revealed that Sultan Abdullah and his wife were in town for a wedding and stopped to talk to the people. Maddie was surprised that she even got to talk to the King and Queen. “I have never fan-girl harder over someone I had never met or heard of in my life. But here we are,” the content creator expressed.
During their meeting, Sultan Abdullah asked Maddie, “Where are you from?” to which she responded, “I’m from the United States.” His Royal Highness also praised Madie’s equipment, saying,“That’s a nice camera,” Sultan Abdullah told her.

Scrolling through the comments, many netizens praised the Royal couple for their kind and friendly attitude towards the people. To quote one commenter, “How different Malaysia’s King and Queen are. They blend in well with the people and society to show that even they are on top they still care about them.”
