Eminem is a renowned rapper, songwriter and producer, but he will soon add another title to his name – Grandpa. The 51-year-old, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, recently revealed that his daughter Hailie Jade is expecting, making him a grandfather for the first time.
Hailie first revealed her pregnancy in Eminem’s recently released music video for “Temporary”, featuring Skylar Grey. The song serves as a message from the artist for his 29-year-old daughter, with emotional lyrics showing his love for his child. The music video was a compilation of family pictures and home videos of Hailie, including footage from Hailie’s wedding ceremony with Evan McClintock in May 2024.
Of course, the highlight of the music video was the scene where Hailie surprised her father with her pregnancy announcement. In the video, the social media influencer handed the rapper a jersey that read “Grandpa” above the number “1”. Eminem then showed a stunned expression as he held up the ultrasound picture to the camera, implying that his daughter was expecting. Hailie then confirmed the news via an Instagram post, sharing that her little one will be born sometime next year.
Fans were delighted by the news and congratulated Hailie on her first pregnancy. Fans also congratulated Eminem on becoming a grandfather, saying they can’t wait to see him with his first grandchild. Many long-time Eminem fans also got emotional over the music video and the baby news, as most have witnessed Hailie growing up through her father’s career. Some also said the song and music video showed the love the father-daughter duo had for each other.
Hailie is Eminem’s only biological daughter from his marriage to ex-wife Kim Scott. However, he is also the father to Alaina and Stevie Mathers, who he adopted. Once again, congratulations to Hailie and Evan on becoming parents and to Eminem for being a granddad!
