Getting stuck for long hours due to terrible weather conditions can be incredibly inconvenient and frustrating, especially when you have important matters to attend to. However, it’s better to be safe than sorry, as you could end up seriously injured.
Thankfully, nothing happened to local actress Trisha Ooi during her recent stay at Resorts World Genting. However, she did share her experience of being trapped there due to a geo-hazard. Here’s what happened:

Recently, Trisha Ooi took to her Instagram Story to update her fans about a landslide that occurred while she was filming a project at Resorts World Genting. The actress explained that she and the production team had stayed the night after filming and were supposed to be on their way to the next location in Janda Baik, Pahang when they discovered that the road had been blocked due to the disaster.
The star and her crew were informed by authorities at the scene at around 6am that they could not leave the area until cleaning work had been completed, which was expected to take until around 9am. “This morning we wanted to get to Janda Baik but a landslide happened from up there to all the way down here. We can’t get out of here. Please pray for us,” said the 25-year-old in her Instagram Story. Trisha later told Kosmo that she was relieved no one was hurt and clarified that the incident occurred before they arrived at the site.

Shortly after it was reported, Resorts World Genting issued an official statement to inform visitors regarding the landslide. “Our emergency response teams were immediately dispatched to assist and are working closely with Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) and Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia to manage the situation and ensure a coordinated response. We assure that guests and staff in RWG are safe and our operations in RWG remain unaffected and fully accessible on the Genting Main Road,” they wrote.
