Being a celebrity usually comes with some negative baggage that includes rumours, allegations and slander. One local child actor was recently accused of taking off her hijab at a party after an alleged video of hers went viral. Yesterday (Thursday, 30th March), she finally came forward with her statement regarding the allegations and speculations. Here’s what she has to say:

For context, actress Mia Sara was accused of taking off her hijab and mingling around with boys at a party after an alleged video of the star went viral on social media. A blurred video posted on Boom Malaysia’s TikTok, as seen above, showed a group of teenagers partying and many believed the girl in the video with her hijab off was the Malaysian actress.
The 17-year-old finally spoke out to address the viral post. In speaking to HLive, the teenage celeb denied that she was the girl in the video. “I can confirm with you that the girl in the viral photos and videos was not me. I’ll leave it to everyone to decide what to believe,” she said in her statement. The actress added that rumours are easy to spread through social media and that content can easily be tampered with.
“I was quite shocked and had no idea how all of this even started. But I know if I comment too much on it then, it’ll make me look as if I am actually guilty” she stated. The “Lagenda Budak Setan 3” star’s parents, specifically her father also came to her defense saying, “The viral post was not Mia. Please stop with the rumours and speculations. This is the month of Ramadan”.
In this age of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, it’s now more difficult to differentiate what is real or not. For your information, this wasn’t the first time Mia Sara had received negative attention. The child star was once criticised for a TikTok video where she was seen dancing in a body-fitting outfit.
