Actress and singer Janna Nick has opened up about her struggles with both mental and physical health over the years. She has previously spoken about her experience with bipolar disorder and, more recently, her challenges with getting pregnant. This time, the “Rasa Cinta” artist left fans concerned after her hospitalisation earlier this week.
In an Instagram post, she hinted that she had been admitted and would require surgery soon due to a cat. This wasn’t entirely surprising, as the actress is allergic to cats. She later shared a video on TikTok to explain the situation.
“For the first time in my life, I need to have surgery. One thing’s for sure – it’s not because I’m pregnant. That’s still a work in progress,” she added. Accompanied by her husband, actor Dini Schatzmann, Janna Nick explained that the reason for her upcoming endoscopic sinus surgery was an allergic reaction caused by working with a cat for an undisclosed project over an extended period.
“The blockages in my nose worsened and have reached the point where surgery is required to remove them. So, if my nose looks different afterwards, it’s not cosmetic surgery, okay? It’s for health reasons. I can’t taste or smell right now,” she stressed. Despite her current health condition, the 29-year-old still managed to entertain her fans with her usual sense of humour in the TikTok video, reassuring them that she would be fine.
After posting her explanation, many fans came forward to share their own experiences with sinus issues, with some recalling their surgeries. Others offered tips on how to reduce blockage once an allergic reaction occurs. Most, of course, wished Janna Nick a speedy recovery. It appears the “Juang” star will be on hiatus for a while until her nose fully heals from the surgery. We hope to see her back on her feet soon once she’s all better.
