We’ve heard of celebrities having beef with each other, but how many are willing to step into the ring? Local actors Hun Haqeem and Ikmal Amry recently announced they’ll soon fight each other in an upcoming boxing match.
Local combat sports competition Fury Championship recently unveiled its list of participating fighters for its inaugural event on 2nd May 2025 (Friday) at Zepp Kuala Lumpur. The participants include local Muay Thai athletes Kabilan Jelevan and Nur Amisha Azrilrizal. However, the pair that caught the most attention were local actors Hun Haqeem and Ikmal Amry. The two even appeared at the press conference to participate in a faceoff session.
While the two stars did recently star as rivals in the “Soloz: Game Of Life” movie, in reality, Hun and Ikmal don’t have any bad blood. The upcoming fight is merely a friendly celebrity boxing match, likely meant to promote the Fury Championship since this is its first event. Nevertheless, Ikmal said the upcoming boxing match is legitimate, and there’s no “fixing” involved. He also said he’s been diligently training recently to give viewers a great show.
Many netizens have voiced excitement about the upcoming match, even joking that the two actors have taken their “rivalry” off the screen. Some have also shared predictions on who will win, noting that both stars are known for their strong physicals. A few also joked that the match is eye-candy for the female fans.
