We recently had the chance to check out the Urban Retreat Spa’s brand-new location in KL East Mall, and we can undoubtedly say that we had the most amazing, healing experience. Let us walk you through the entire process; you might find yourself eager to give it a try.
We tried out the Hair Bath Cream + Massage treatment worth RM 319 for a total of 120 mins — divided into 60 mins for the massage and 60 mins for the hair bath. The treatment started with a quick foot scrub before leading you into the room to begin your journey of relaxation.
Your skilled and friendly masseuse will welcome you and take care of you for the duration of the two hours in the room. The masseuse will start working right away, beginning with your legs. Despite the discomfort, it’s safe to say that the masseuse’s strong and adept hands will provide relief for those of you with sore feet.
When it came to the back, the masseuse had no mercy as she worked her way through the kinks and knots, especially those near the neck and shoulder blades. With their miraculous touch, you could literally feel your burdens float away; even if it’s only for a short period of time.
It’s best not to overlook the wrists and your hands because they work nonstop typing on your laptop for work and assignments, so give them extra attention they deserve during the massage. The calm ambience and firm pressure will leave you in a daze and on the verge of falling asleep as the routine repeats on your front for the rest of the 60 minutes. But don’t doze off just yet, your hair bath awaits.
For your hair bath treatment, a tray consisting of ampoules, shampoo and conditioner will be provided. If you have oily hair or dandruff, you should let the counter assistant or your personal masseuse know in advance. Next, your scalp will be massaged using the provided ampoules, depending on your scalp condition. Shampoo will then be applied by the masseuse before your first wash.
The ampoules used in this treatment were intended to treat oily hair. Along with a quick facial, leaving you refreshed, as the ampoules work their magic on your scalp. After applying conditioner, your hair is ready for its second wash.
The masseuse will then blow-dry your hair while using a hair serum and style it perfectly. This will, of course, have you feeling rejuvenated. That whole new you will be walking out the door ready to face the day and its challenges.
