You guys, it’s time to say hello to Malaysia’s first ever container flea market!
Container flea..what?
If you’ve ever been to the Art Box market in Bangkok, Thailand, then you’d know what we mean by a container flea market.
Art Box Bangkok is a new night market concept that took “shopping in Thailand” to a whole new level. Instead of being housed in the usual tentage, the stalls at Art Box are housed in giant metal shipping containers, making it a mobile shopping attraction.
What makes Art Box even more appealing is the variety of goods and entertainment that it has to offer – music, fashion, handmade accessories, F&B, gadgets, home decor, and other miscellaneous items. On top of fun performances, artsy people, and a borderline hipster vibe too, of course 🙂
And now, the concept is coming to Malaysia for the first time via the good people behind the Tricube Container Market!
Similar to Art Box Bangkok, Tricube promises to be just as fun with tonnes of goods and activities to offer. Aside from housing stalls that will be selling bags, handmade items, accessories, clothes, and F&B, there will also be a host of exciting performances and gigs on site.
Tricube Container Market’s grand opening happens tomorrow (16th January, Saturday) from 12pm – 2pm so if you’re around the area, don’t forget to drop by! Something different to do on an ordinary weekend for a change, eh? 😉
Tricube Container Market’s operating dates and hours are as follows:
- Episode I: 16th and 17th January
- Episode II: 22nd, 23rd, and 24th January
- Episode III: 29th, 30th, and 31st January
- Episode IV: 1st – 5th February
