Collecting official merchandise from your favourite anime or manga is a wonderful hobby, although it’s always wise to be mindful not to overspend. Still, owning these items, especially limited editions, never fails to bring joy.

If you couldn’t afford to buy that man’s RM1 million Pokémon card collection, then perhaps this could be the next best thing. It was recently announced that Touch ‘n Go has teamed up with the popular franchise for something that’s sure to excite fans.

Trainers, rejoice! Touch ‘n Go has announced a special collaboration with Pokémon, releasing special-edition charms and RFID cards. As seen in the photos above, the two items feature two of the franchise’s most beloved and iconic mascots, the ever-adorable Pikachu and the mischievous Gengar. According to the official website, the charms function as alternatives to the standard RFID cards.

They’re convenient too, as you can reload them anytime and anywhere via the Touch ‘n Go eWallet. Each charm is fully equipped with NFC capability, allowing for contactless and cashless payments for tolls, public transport, and parking. If you prefer something a little more traditional or simply want to be more discreet, you can opt for the Special Edition RFID card (for registered Class 1 vehicles only).

As seen in the photos above, the Pokémon Touch ‘n Go charms cost RM35 each, whereas the RFID cards cost RM40 each. For more information on the products, promos and how to purchase them, be sure to check them out on the official Touch ‘n Go.
