Capital A CEO Tony Fernandes is always known for being unconventional, like how he handled this passenger bringing her own food onto a flight. Well, his eccentricities have struck again, this time in the spirit of Chinese New Year!
The festival is technically over but it still isn’t too late to give out ang paos. Well, that’s what Tony Fernandes did recently, blessing his employees at work! The unexpected act had netizens cooing, with some praising Tony for his deed.
Just yesterday (26th February), Tony Fernandes uploaded a short video to his Instagram. It showed him handing out ang paos while dressed in a Tang outfit and riding an electric luggage scooter. “Ang pow day. But today using high tech to give to 2000 all stars (employees). Like my outfit?” he captioned.
Needless to say, his employees all looked very delighted by his generous and festive act. Several could be seen recording the instance on their phones while others grinned and awaited their turn around the open office.
Well, they weren’t the only ones impressed. “Never seen an owner of a company and CEO like you! Very user centric!!” one comment read. A netizen told him: “Like the luggage,” while another praised his outfit, saying: “You are so handsome in your red dress.”
Kudos to Tony Fernandes for putting in effort into his outfit, he definitely looked amazing zooming around on that luggage scooter! His employees too must have enjoyed the break in their daily routine. That’s certainly one way to end Chinese New Year!
