Parents often express how proud they are when their children achieve a certain milestone in their studies, career, or life in general. Celebrity parents are no different and many have shared updates about what their children have been doing.
Recently, AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes took to LinkedIn to share the exciting news that his son has graduated from New York University. Like the proud father that he is, he also revealed how his second child managed to do well in not only his studies but also his career.

In his latest post, Tony Fernandes congratulated his son Stephen, who is also a Junior Technical Artist at Genies, on graduating at the top of his class. He also took the time to acknowledge that his first two children, including his eldest, Stephanie, have done well in their studies and businesses.
“Both are humble, smart, and hard-working and have never asked for or taken any shortcuts,” said the businessman. Tony admitted that he has made many mistakes in his life and career, but one thing he takes pride in is that he has never once forced his children to do anything they didn’t want to do, which he believes is the secret to their success.

“I never pushed them to do what they didn’t want to do. I gave them maximum support and allowed them to choose their own path. We were never tiger parents. Too many parents force their kids into careers and overwork them to make themselves feel good,” the AirAsia boss shared. He concluded his post by reminding parents to allow their children to live their dreams and encourage them to pursue their passions.
LinkedIn users congratulated Tony Fernandes’ son on his latest achievements and commented that they agreed with the 60-year-old’s approach to parenting, saying that children should be allowed to choose their own path in life. Others felt inspired to follow in his footsteps and guide their own children to achieve their dreams.
