Chinese New Year is almost upon us and soon, most of us will be travelling back to our respective hometown.
To ensure smooth traffic on major highways during the festive season, PLUS Malaysia will be offering motorists travelling along the North-South Expressway and ELITE Highway a seasonal “treat”.
“We anticipate 1.6 million vehicles will be plying the NSE on every peak day during the festive season. The figure translates to a 15% increase as compared to the number of traffic on a normal working day,” PLUS managing director, Datuk Azman Ismail was quoted as saying.
As such, Class 1 vehicle owners using the NSE and ELITE highway will be entitled to a 50% toll discount. Also note that the rebate is only offered to those paying toll via electronic toll payment system (PLUSMiles cards, Touch ‘n Go cards, and SmartTAGs) on these following dates and time:
- Dates: 27th and 30th January; 3rd and 4th February
- Time: Between 12am and 6am
However, the rebate won’t be given on the spot. Users are only allowed to redeem the 50% toll rebate (in the form of reload) at any PLUS customer service centres between 15th February and 14th May.
