Netflix has just released the highly anticipated main trailer for “Genie Make a Wish,” the new fantasy romantic comedy starring Kim Woo-bin and Suzy. The series will premiere worldwide on 3rd October 2025.
The story follows Genie, played by Kim Woo-bin, a mischievous and charming genie finally freed after a thousand years. Instead of rushing to make wishes, his new master Ka-young, played by Suzy, stuns him with a bold proposal. She challenges him to a best-of-five bet to prove whether humans are destined to turn corrupt. If Genie wins, Ka-young will make all three wishes and give up her life.
What unfolds is a whirlwind of rooftop showdowns, sharp-witted banter, stolen kisses, and even a romantic waltz under the stars. As Ka-young’s icy composure begins to melt, viewers will be left wondering what causes her to cry for the first time, what sparks Genie’s sudden fury, and what happens when the lamp falls into someone else’s hands.
“‘Genie Make a Wish’ is about three wishes and countless temptations,” says writer Kim Eun-sook. “Audiences will be swept up in the storm of emotions and desires that ripple through the characters and their world.”
With a stellar supporting cast including Ahn Eun-jin, Noh Sang-hyun, Ko Kyu-phil, and Lee Zoo-young, “Genie Make a Wish” promises to deliver a heart-racing mix of humor, romance, and fantasy when it premieres on 3rd October, only on Netflix.
