2018 is already shaping up to be an exciting year for indie music fans. That’s because The xx will be visiting Malaysia for the first time ever!

London’s indie pop band – which consists of members Romy Madley Croft (guitar, vocals), Oliver Sim (bass, vocals) and Jamie Smith (beats, MPC, production) – have announced 7 dates for their “I See You Tour Asia” next year. Besides Kuala Lumpur, the trio will also be playing in Jakarta, Hong Kong, Taipei, Manila, Osaka, and Tokyo.

Since making their debut in 2005, the English act has rose from obscurity to gain a huge following. Well known for their intimate and minimalist musical style that fuses genres like indie pop, indie electronic, dream pop, and electronic rock, The xx has completed sold-out shows and headlining festivals around the world.

Their debut, “xx”, which produced hits such as “Heart Skipped A Beat”, “VCR”, “Islands”, and “Crystalised”, won them the 2010 Mercury Prize. The band’s sophomore album, “Coexist”, peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200. Earlier this year, The xx released their 3rd record, “I See You”, and it peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200.
