South Korean hit film “Parasite” (기생충) made history after winning Best Picture (among other awards) at the recent Academy Awards. This marked the first time for a non-English language movie to receive the honour!

Following that, fans across the globe have been making use of the hype surrounding the black comedy flick by flying all the way to Korea to pay their visit at a number of locations portrayed in the movie.

In case you’re searching for ideas on where to travel next, then check out this list below:

1. Dwejissal supermarket

This is the location where the character Ki-woo (played by Choi Woo-sik) got an offer to replace his friend as a tutor. This place is also where Ki-woo had a chat with Min-hyuk (Park Seo Joon) over a battle of soju. For the uninitiated, the mini mart is referred to as Woori Supermarket in the film.

2. Sky Pizza restaurant

Did you know? This restaurant has been running for over 17 years! Located in Noryangjin, neighbourhood in Seoul, you can try a variety of their signature delicacies such as pizzas and also fried chickens, just to name a few. The fast food outlet’s signature is labelled as Pizza Generation in the movie. Not only that, the shop even displayed a portrait of director Bong Joon-ho in one of their rooms.

3. The stairs at Jahamun Tunnel

Situated in Buam-dong, Seoul, those who have watched the movie would be familiar with the scene where Ki-taek (Song Kang-ho) and his family members ran away from Park’s house. They later had to cancel their plans to go camping due to “bad weather condition”. All of them entered the Jahamun tunnel on their way back home in the rain

4. The staircase at Ki-taek’s village

This staircase can be seen during the part where Ki-jeong (played by Park So-dam) bought a peach and sent it to Park’s wealthy household. Situated nearby the Dwejissal mart, this spot is arguably one of the most Instagram-worthy spots for visitors.

Not as popular as the “Joker” stairs, but still…
