Whoa wait, hold up – wasn’t it just like, yesterday that Sunye from the Wonder Girls was running around in a princess-y wedding dress, looking hella gorgeous, and getting hitched at Seoul Lotte Hotel? Has it been that long since we last heard from the Wonder Girl?
Because just today, Sunye officially announced that she is pregnant!
The beautiful K-Pop idol, who made her mark as a member of one of the current generation’s biggest K-Pop idol girl groups, posted up the good news via her Twitter. To the surprise of many, she said:
I respect all mothers in the world who have experienced the mysteries and marvels of life. We have been granted a honeymoon baby. I think it’s a suitable time to deliver the news of our baby now that I’m into my third month. Please pray that our baby will be able to grow healthily in my belly!
Sunye of the Wonder Girls was the first of the current generation’s idols to get married. And now, she’s going to be the first to have a baby! We can’t hide our excitement. Congratulations, Sunye and James.
The both of you are going to make great parents!

Calm down, people! Contrary to popular belief, Sunye is not leaving the Wonder Girls.
According to Newsen and straight out of the JYP rep’s mouth, “Sun will still be promoting as a member of the Wonder Girls even after her pregnancy. It’s not that she left the Wonder Girls, but that she’s taking a temporary break. Rumors that the girls will be breaking up are all false. They’re baseless. Sun’s pregnancy is something that should be sincerely congratulated”.
