The Flower Makeup Trend Is Blossoming & We’re Root-ing For It!

Incorporating flowers – whether fresh, dry or fake – into makeup looks is all the rage now. Literal roses and daisies are blooming on faces everywhere!

Flowers are not only a chance to experiment with cosmetics in new ways, but they also serve as visual mood boosters. Right now, there are fewer restrictions on makeup, making it the ideal moment to be creative and let go of the norms. These flower-inspired beauty trends are not to be missed, whether you want to use genuine flowers or would rather imitate them with your brushes.

All About Tools & Skin Prep

Sonata Home Design/makeup.com

This trend might seem hard to nail, but with the right tools and correct method of prepping your skin, you’ll be a pro in no time! Just like how you apply faux eyelashes, all you need is a tweezer and a bunch of skin-friendly floral items, along with some makeup products. Also, it’s best to steer clear of any adhesive that can cause damage to your skin. The best solution? Lash glue, of course!

Skin prep-wise, it’s crucial to keep excess oil to a minimum. Avoid using thicker, oilier cosmetics on your skin. Leaving your skin oily will cause the lash glue to slide and you definitely don’t want that. Stick to products with a thinner consistency, such as gel primers, as they dry faster and leave less residue on the skin.

Tiny Flowers

Let start with something small.

This trend is all about combining the smallest blooms to get a stunning floral makeup look, whether you use real flowers, dried flowers or face paints. Go for a natural look with neutral makeup and the smallest dried flowers, or pair them with a bold eye shadow.

Petal Face

Don’t like sticking a whole peony or rose to your face, do you? That’s why we have petals, so no concerns. When you first begin incorporating florals into your beauty look, using genuine or fake petals is a terrific way to experiment.

Floral Eye Makeup

Floral eye makeup is one of the popular flower-inspired cosmetic trends. Florals are here to help you seem as wonderful as a spring garden, whether you choose a more detailed design or a basic cut crease, embellished with a row of daisies. You have the option of going all out with hues and flower variations, or keeping it simple with just one flower in the crease of your eye.

Minimalist But Vibrant

You don’t need to be an expert to follow these flower-inspired cosmetic trends; they feature vivid colours and strong, basic lines. These flowery styles are all the rage right now, and you can find them everywhere from the heart of Instagram to the high fashion catwalk.
