We’ve been clamouring for it for weeks and months and Disney has FINALLY released its first official look at “Solo: A Star Wars Story” during the Super Bowl.
Mind you, this isn’t even a full-length trailer, but merely a 45 seconds teaser. Which is CRAZY, considering the movie is set to hit cinemas in four months time.
That said, what we did get is pretty enticing. The teaser offers a glimpse at the Millennium Falcon, Woody Harrelson, who’s set to play a mentor figure to Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Chewbacca as well as a very brief shot of Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo.
For weeks now, fans have been biting their nails, wondering when the first trailer will drop. The previous three Star Wars movies all had their trailers drop six months to a year before the release of the movie. “Solo: A Star Wars Story” is a peculiar case, especially considering the numerous behind the scenes problems the film went through and the firing of directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. They were then replaced by “Cinderella Man” director, Ron Howard, who reportedly reshot a majority of the film.
Perhaps we’ll get a clearer picture tomorrow when the full-length trailer drops on ABC’s “Good Morning America”.
