In a recent interview with Lianhe Zaobao, Henry Cheung (张全), the CEO of TEAM WANG Design and Jackson’s childhood friend and business partner, shared personal insights into Jackson’s character. Henry, who was born into a family managing a textile and trading business, met Jackson at the United States International School in Hong Kong. The two spent their youth engaging in mischievous antics but would later join forces and co-founded TEAM WANG Design. Their partnership proved successful and both public figures were named on the 2023 Forbes China “Under 30 Elite List.”
Over the years, Henry and Jackson have come to understand each other’s true personalities. In a Twitter post, a fan highlighted a part of Henry’s interview where he explained how Jackson can occasionally lose his temper, though its a rare occurrence. When that happens, Henry diffuses the situation with jokes. According to the CEO, Jackson is emotional but has matured significantly, especially since the release of his “Magic Man“ album and world tour. Any rare outbursts from Jackson are usually justified by the pressures he faces.
Henry also shared that Jackson faced many challenges during his trainee days in Korea, revealing that Jackson almost quit after just three days. Throughout this time, Henry supported him, sharing conversations over Skype and visiting him in Korea. Remarkably, despite their long-standing friendship, they have never argued. Henry credits Jackson’s calm nature and rational approach to resolving conflicts.
Despite Jackson’s occasional flaws, fans continue to love and support him, appreciating his immense contributions to the K-pop industry. His kindness, perseverance, and unwavering support for others—like being there for BamBam (แบมแบม/뱀뱀) during his struggles with mental health—make him a role model for many.
