Christmas is a time for giving, and international pop star Taylor Swift is no stranger to a generous gift. Just days before 25th December, the singer made million-dollar donations to two notable charities.
Earlier this week, Feeding America and the American Heart Association revealed that Taylor has donated US$1 million (approximately RM 4.05 million) each to their organisations, just in time for Christmas. Both organisations also released statements through social media to thank the “Love Story” singer for her generous donations.

Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot wrote on Instagram, “We are incredibly grateful for Taylor Swift’s $1 million gift to Feeding America. This holiday season, her continued support is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we unite to end hunger.” She added, “When we join together alongside people facing hunger, we can make sure families have a full table this holiday season and beyond.”
The American Heart Association also released a statement about Taylor’s donation, revealing that she donated in honour of her father, Scott Swift. During her appearance on fiancé Travis Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights”, Taylor opened up about her dad’s experience with cardiovascular disease, even undergoing quintuple bypass surgery earlier this year.

In the statement, CEO Nancy Brown thanked Taylor for her contribution, saying that her “remarkable generosity will create lasting change far beyond its financial value.” She continued, “Her commitment to supporting her father will make so many others aware of the need to take their own heart health seriously, strengthen prevention efforts, and improve controllable risk factors – ultimately helping more people live longer, healthier lives.”
These donations are just another example of the star’s long-standing generosity, which included contributions to relief efforts, education programs, and even bonuses for her tour staff. Kudos to Taylor on this wonderful Christmas gift.
