Super Junior D&E – Donghae and Eunhyuk – kicked off their first concert in 2025 on a high note with “Rock Your Body”, “Twisted” and “BAD + Danger”. Despite feeling under the weather, Donghae powered through the whole set like a pro and soaked in the energy from Malaysian ELFs and Annies.
The 38-year-old had been down with a bad cold and hasn’t recovered yet. “But seeing you tonight, I don’t feel sick at all. You make me so energetic. I really need you all the time!” Donghae told the crowd at Mega Star Arena. Throughout the show, the K-pop star kept reminding fans that “nothing is more important than your health.”
Prior to the 2025 SUPER JUNIOR-D&E WORLD TOUR: ECLIPSE World Tour, the Super Junior members performed in Axiata Arena back in August 2024 with their “Spin Off Half Time Tour” while the iconic duo were previously in town for the 2023 D&E WORLD TOUR FANCON: Delight Party. There’s no doubt that Malaysia has a special place in their hearts.
As all you Malaysian ELFs know, 2025 is a momentous year for Super Junior as they celebrate their 20th anniversary. “Next time we come back, all members will definitely be there,” the duo promised. While many of the members still have ongoing solo projects happening this year, the anticipation for the 20th anniversary world tour is undeniable.
Eunhyuk revealed that he will be releasing a new solo album before his show in Japan in February. Yesung has been promoting his mini-album “It’s Complicated” and will be performing in Zepp KL later in April. Kyuhyun – who impressed us with a Malay cover when he performed in KL last April – is still touring around Asia. Clearly, these guys are booked and busy.
When it comes to their solo concerts, we like how these Super Junior members bring their own individual flavours and colours to their performances. For D&E, it’s energetic and electrifying from start to finish. With “Hang Over”, “Oppa, Oppa + Can You Feel It?”, “GGB”, “New Balance”, “Go High”, and many fan favourites, concert-goers were encouraged to get up and dance along.
There were plenty of heartwarming moments, like when Donghae was asking which female fans brought their boyfriends/husbands to the show and nudged them to kiss infront of everybody. At one point, fans also urged Eunhyuk to “take it off” after he expressed that it was “so hot in here” and he was soaking wet in his outfit. Eunhyuk teased a little by removing jacket a little and showed off his sexy back.
Donghae and Eunhyuk returned onstage for their encore, performing mid-tempo tracks “‘Bout you”, “Need You” and “Share My Love”. It was the perfect way to end their “Eclipse” concert and as promised, fans can look forward to some big announcement for Super Junior’s 20th anniversary.
