Well, almost.
To mark the first death anniversary of the face of tech giant Apple, Madame Tussauds (known as the tourist attraction for celebrity wax figures) is making a wax figure of the late Steve Jobs – and it looks hauntingly realistic. Almost creepy, if we didn’t know any better.
Modeled after his 2006 Fortune Magazine cover pose, the wax figure is said to be incredibly detailed. Each strand of hair is inserted one by one into the wax head by hand using a forked needle. Even the iris is hand painted using gouache with fine silk threads for veining.
The wax figure, which will be displayed at Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong comes complete with Steve’s signature black cotton turtle neck, Levi’s 501 jeans, and New Balance 991 sneakers.
The art of such perfection is just like how Steve Jobs created and recreated the technology that catapulted Apple to success – with precision and immaculately. The process of creating a close-to-life Steve Jobs took three months to complete. It is now on display until 26th November 2012. (Source)
