Tracksmith Eliot Racer
The British sportswear brand, Tracksmith, has finally raised the stakes as it steps into the “super shoe” market.
Designed to put all other sneakers to shame, the Eliot Racer is the new minimalist for those who value performance above all else.
It’s touted to be one of the most performance-centric footwear on the market, and the reason for such a claim is found within the build. The typical midsole consists of a carbon plate, midsole, strobel, and insole. The Eliot Racer instead features a single thick foam that merges the insole and midsole into one piece and eliminates the need for a strobel altogether.
This results in more room for your foot to compensate for the swelling that occurs during long-distance runs. To better absorb any impacts, the heel has been reconstructed, featuring a more slender form figure to better lockdown your foot in your run.
As for the aesthetic design, the runners come in an equally minimalist look, sporting a singular racing strip running down the midfoot. Furthermore, you can easily spot the brand’s iconic rabbit logo just by the heel.
Both of these details come in glorious gold, which is richly contrasted by a clean white background. A second colourway, coming in navy and gold, is set to hit shelves later this year.
The Eliot Racer is available now in physical Tracksmith stores in New York, Brooklyn, and London, with a global online release set for 18th March for US$280 (~RM1,244).
and wander x Altra Timp 5 BOA
After a long wait, the highly-anticipated collaboration between and wander and Altra is finally here.
With their roots in exploration, both brands have once again turned to the mountains for inspiration, allowing them to influence their latest endeavour.
The alpine environments that both brands frequently test their equipment on are symbolised by its “Granite Grey.”
The expertly-designed mesh upper is elegantly illuminated by subtle hints of reflectivity.
Once more, a BOA Fit System adopts a burrito-style construction for the model’s signature structure.
On the other hand, the sole is a Vibram Megagrip outsole with a zero-drop platform that allows for natural terrain navigation.
An “and wander” callout at the lateral heel and BOA lockdown system now joins the standard “ALTRA” branding note across the upper.
The Timp 5 BOA is set to drop on 19th March via and wander, Altra, and selected retailers. A pair commands a price of US$200 (~RM889)
