Sadly, Song Joong Ki (송중기) and Song Hye Kyo (송혜교)‘s luxurious house in Yongsan-gu, Seoul will be gone forever following their unfortunate split.
As reported by South China Morning Post, the house – which was purchased by the “Descendants Of The Sun” actor for over $8 million USD – will be demolished. The process has already began last month.
Additionally, it’s also reported that after the demolition and reconstruction finished, the new house built will contain a total of 5 floors; 3 upper grounds and 2 lower grounds. It is scheduled to complete construction in June 2021.
The Hong Kong news outlet further added, “The permit for the demolition and construction of a new house was approved earlier, but construction only began recently. The delay was likely due to the division of assets between Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo at that time.”
In response to that, Joong Ki’s agency History D&C came up with a short statement that reads, “It is his personal business, so we cannot confirm anything.” Similarly, the “Full House” actress’ side also decided to stay mum on the matter.
The former lovebirds were supposed to move into their luxury newlywed house right after their marriage back in October 2017. However, local reports and witnesses claimed that the duo moved out of the house long before their divorce. Some even argued that they never lived there in the first place.
The Hallyu heartthrob has since bought an apartment worth $2.88 million USD in Hawaii.
