Ever wondered what it feels like to take flight like a bird?

If you’ve always wanted to experience the thrilling sensation of flying, but too afraid to jump off an airplane, then we’ve got the perfect activity for you: indoor skydiving.

It’s essentially skydiving, but it takes place indoors. Imagine yourself with an pair of invisible wings, floating, flying, and free falling through the air at different wind speeds. The best thing is, there’s usually no experience required. That means both children and adults can take part in this fun-filled family friendly sport.

There used to be a skydiving attraction called SkyVenture in Genting Highlands. Unfortunately it closed down a few years ago. But fret not, cause we just heard that the new indoor skydiving attraction will opening at the 1 Utama shopping centre.

How convenient right? The fact that the new indoor skydiving facility will be located in the Klang Valley means you don’t even have to travel very far to experience this flying sport. Since gaining popularity in other parts of the world, this attraction has been used for team-building, in addition to competitions and party games.

According to The Rakyat Post, Indoor Skydive Australia (ISA) Group is collaborating with Bandar Utama City Sdn Bhd for the project, which will cost between AUD1.5 to AUD2 million (RM5.1 to RM6.8 million).

“The indoor skydiving facility is being developed as part of the extension of the 1 Utama Shopping Centre which includes access to the Bandar Utama MRT station, linking 1 Utama to the Greater Kuala Lumpur region,” reads the statement by ISA.

Here’s a taste of what’s to come:

Details regarding the indoor skydiving facility is still being kept under wraps, but visitors can expect it to open in December 2017.
