Oh no, we just found out that Sky on 57 at Marina Bay Sands will be closing down on 4th June 2017.
According to Singapore’s Straits Times, Sky on 57 will be replaced by Lavo, an Italian restaurant-bar-night club. The grand launch will be announced at a later date.
Managed by Singaporean celebrity chef Justin Quek, the modern Asian fine dining restaurant, which sits on the 57th floor of the hotel, will serve its last lunch and dinner on 3rd June.
“It has been a good 7-year run. The restaurant and bar are doing well with a unique dining concept and location. I have grown attached to this space, but I need to respect the management’s decision to remodel it,” the 55-year-old chef told Straits Times.
Opened in June 2010, Sky on 57 is the only restaurant helmed by Justin Quek.
