It appears that another star has left the TVB roster. Hong Kong actress and former Miss Hong Kong first runner-up Sisley Choi (蔡思貝) recently sparked rumours of her leaving the broadcaster after more than a decade.
Over the weekend, Hong Kong social media was buzzing about Sisley Choi’s possible departure from TVB. The rumours first emerged after the actress seemingly hinted at a “rebirth” and beginning a “new story” in her life in a birthday post in early February. Many believe that SIsley was indirectly revealing her departure from TVB after 13 years with the broadcaster.

While Sisley has yet to address the rumours, netizens recently discovered one detail that adds fuel to the allegations. According to reports, a search on the TVB website for Sisley’s name in the “Artiste” section yielded no results, suggesting that TVB has removed her profile. This revelation is yet another indication that Sisley has left her long-time management.
It’s worth noting that Sisley’s departure from TVB doesn’t come as a surprise to her fans. The star hasn’t appeared in any dramas or television series recently, with her last project being 2024’s “The Airport Diary”. While she continues to appear in promotional work for TVB, Sisley mainly focuses on her solo projects and brand partnerships in recent years.

Sisley’s alleged departure also comes after netizens’ comments about her acting. Many criticised her skills, even leaving messages on TVB Assistant General Manager Virginia Lok’s social media, asking not to cast the actress in any dramas. However, it’s also likely that Sisley left TVB due to contract expiration and not because of the online comments.
Until Sisley or TVB officially confirms the departure news, everything remains an allegation. Nevertheless, we wish the actress all the best in her future endeavours, whether it’s with or without TVB.
