Netflix’s dating show “Single’s Inferno 4 (솔로지옥4)” continues to heat social media with newsworthy moments between the cast. However, the singles are also getting attention outside the show – albeit not all positive. Recently, cast members Lee Sian (이시안) and Park Haelin (박해린) both made headlines, but for opposing reasons.
Cast member Lee Sian received attention from the beginning, given her history in the K-pop industry. The 26-year-old was a contestant in two K-pop survival programmes, “Idol School (아이돌학교)” and “Produce 48 (프로듀스 48)”. However, it was recently reported the model has been sued by her agency, Leaders Entertainment. The company said that Lee Sian had violated the terms and conditions of her exclusive contract.

According to reports, the agency has handled Lee Sian’s management since August 2023. Both parties mutually decided to extend her contract period for one year and six months in April 2024 after she decided to join “Single’s Inferno 4”. However, after concluding filming for the Netflix show, the model asked to terminate her contract in August 2024.
Leaders Entertainment said the sudden termination violated Lee Sian’s exclusive contract and the supplement agreement, adding they are in the process of taking legal action. They also said the model’s disregard of her contract and her announcement to halt activities after the show is a deception to the agency and the show’s production team. As of writing, Lee Sian has yet to respond to these allegations.
In the meantime, contestant Park Haelin is also making waves after her appearance on the show. The 24-year-old is a new addition to the cast, making her first appearance in Episode 5. After her introduction, many netizens discovered she was also a former K-pop trainee. According to reports, the actress trained several notable agencies, including JYP Entertainment and MNH Entertainment.

Like Lee Sian, Park Haelin also appeared in a K-pop survival programme, joining the show MIXNINE. However, she was eliminated in Episode 10 but continued training at Fave Entertainment, now known as PlayM Entertainment. The 24-year-old was added to the pre-debut group FAVEGIRLS (페이브걸즈) but left the agency before the group’s debut. After a few lineup changes, FAVEGIRLS would later debut in 2020 as Weeekly (위클리).
There’s a striking difference between the news surrounding these two cast members. Nevertheless, you can catch both Lee Sian and Park Haelin on “Single’s Inferno 4”, now streaming on Netflix.
