After over two months of speculation and investigations, American singer D4vd has officially been named a suspect in the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The 15-year-old was found dead in the singer’s car back in September 2025.
According to a source from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has been named as a suspect in connection with Celeste’s death. On 8th September 2025, police found a decomposing body, later identified as Celeste, in a bag in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd.
The singer previously said he would fully cooperate with the police in the case. However, the source reported that D4vd hasn’t been cooperative during the investigation. There are also speculations that Celeste’s death likely occurred earlier in the Spring, and that the singer had helped in disposing of her body.
However, the authorities couldn’t confirm the allegations, citing the ongoing investigation. Meanwhile, D4vd has yet to be charged, and no arrests have been made relating to the investigation. Regardless, netizens are convinced that the “Here With Me” singer had something to do with Celeste’s passing.
Shortly after reports of Celeste’s body emerged, netizens dug up past allegations, which they say are evidence of D4vd’s guilt. According to some of the claims, the 20-year-old and the 15-year-old were allegedly in a relationship since 2022. D4vd’s lyrics in some of his songs also sparked outrage, with netizens calling them disturbing.
