Show Lo (羅志祥) made his triumphant return to Kuala Lumpur with the show-stopping concert, titled “World Tour Evolution 2024” in Mega Star Arena over the weekend. The last time he was here, the 45-year-old Taiwanese star recalled performing up in Resorts World Genting. While he has tried various Malaysian food, Show made it clear that durian was a big no-no for him.

The performer exploded on stage with hard-hitting bangers “No Joke”, “That’s Enough” and “Trap Game”. It was a thrill to see Show kicked off the concert stellar vocals and energetic dance numbers – which is what fans have come to expect at Mandopop concerts. As the “King of Dance”, Show and his team of dancers certainly delivered.

While we’ve come to expect his performance prowess, it was refreshing to see his comedic chops in person. During one of the interaction segments with fans, Show recalled a recent incident at the airport where he thought he was being photographed. Turns out, fans had turned up at the airport not for him but Korean actor Lee Min Ho, who happened to be on the same flight as him. “It was humbling,” he admitted.

Despite a few hiccups from technical difficulties (Mega Star Arena recently had issues during The BOYZ concert as well), Show handled it like a pro. He made it less awkward by being a jokester. “What are you going to post on Xiaohongshu? Was this concert entertaining? Funny? Please be kind to me,” he quipped.

Witty comments and funny antics aside, it was nice to see Show’s interaction with his adoring fans when he came down from stage to the front row. A few lucky ones got Show to film himself on their mobile phones, some got to sing their hearts out to their idol when he handed them his mic, and ultimately, everyone present had an amazing Saturday night at this electrifying concert.
