The existence of e-commerce companies has made our lives easier since we’re able to purchase all kinds of products with just a tap of our fingers but with so many to choose from, which online store do most customers prefer?
It looks like it’s a battle between Shopee and Lazada as netizens on Twitter discussed which one they’d always pick and why.
Yesterday (Tuesday, 24th October), a netizen who goes by the username @pja_chanposted a question on Twitter asking netizens which online store app they prefer using and why; Shopee or Lazada? “You can answer honestly, I’d like to keep a reference for the PayDay Sale on the 25th of this month,” she tweeted. The tweet reached tons of netizens with many giving their opinions on which one has benefited them the most.
Shopee
One of the reasons why many chose Shopee was because the online store’s live streams would always offer discounts for customers which makes it the best opportunity to purchase any of the products shown in the broadcast. Others said that the app’s SPayLater feature has helped them buy items they need without worrying too much about payment as they’re given the option to pay in full or in monthly installments later, as the name suggests.
Another reason mentioned was that the app is more user-friendly compared to its competitors. Some netizens even enjoyed the benefit of being able to redeem coins (reward points) so they could offset their transactions on their next purchase.
Lazada
As for those who chose Lazada, many said it’s because the online store offers more shopping vouchers. Another reason was that the company offers free shipping for many, if not most, of the purchases made by customers. Netizens also acknowledged Lazada’s excellent delivery service, saying that their packages would always arrive on time and in good condition.
Neutral
A few netizens remained neutral saying that both Shopee and Lazada can offer great deals depending on what the individuals themselves were looking for. Some suggested that people should add items to the cart on both apps and see which ones offer the best prices and benefits.
