Following SEVENTEEN’s (세븐틴) recent comeback on Monday (14th October), member Vernon (버논) casually rebranded his Instagram account by removing all his posts and unfollowing everyone. With over 8 million followers, this move has sparked worried reactions among anxious fans who are desperately seeking answers.
The sudden act of cleansing his feed, without any explanation, has left fans on edge. Some showed concern that the superstar may be feeling unwell or facing personal issues, and they have expressed their support and well wishes. However, despite the anxiety among many fans, others remained unfazed, recalling that he did something similar back in 2021.
Fans speculated that Vernon might be preparing to release a solo project, which could explain the changes to his Instagram account. However, as of now, no official confirmation has been given out to the public as to why he decided to go low on Instagram. A few Twitter users pointed out his new profile picture, which seems to be a piece of white fabric. CARATs noted that it may be referencing his Weverse nickname, “dirty white tee”.
As seen in the screenshots below, some brought it upon themselves to get answers, even going as far as asking the singer’s sister, Sofia Chwe (최한결) in her TikTok comment section. A fan also asked Vernon via Weverse if he got caught up in a fight with the other members of his group, which could’ve led to the clearance of his Instagram. Both he and his sister replied to their respective comments in a humorous tone.
