The Princess of Selangor, HRH Tengku Zatashah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, continues to show off her close ties with international celebrities. While GOT7 (갓세븐) member Mark Tuan (마크투안/段宜恩) was in Malaysia for an event appearance, the two public figures spent some time together at the official palace of Selangor.
Tengku Zatashah recently shared photos of the two visiting the Istana Alam Shah. In her post, the princess wrote, “A private tour for Mark Tuan at the official palace of Selangor, Istana Alam Shah, Klang. Welcome back to Malaysia, and it’s always wonderful to see you again.” The two looked stylish during the visit, with Tengku Zatashah donning a pink two-piece suit and Mark wearing a simple grey sweater with dark jeans.
Judging from her caption, the Selangor royalty and GOT7 rapper seem well-acquainted. Sure enough, this isn’t Tengku Zatashah’s first meeting with the American-born K-pop idol. The public figure was also present during his recent event at The Exchange TRX, and they also posed for a photo at the opening of the YSL Beauté boutique in January. That same month, Tengku Zatashah also went to Mark’s solo concert, where they met backstage.
Many GOT7 fans were pleasantly surprised to see Mark’s appearance on Tengku Zatashah’s Instagram page. Some also thanked the Selangor Princess for always showing support to the idol. Others noted that Mark’s visit to the Istana Alam Shah is an honour for the star. Interestingly, some netizens unfamiliar with Tengku Zatashah wondered what her job is, only to be shocked that she is royalty.
Tengku Zatashah is a known K-pop fan and has attended many local K-pop concerts, so it’s no surprise that she’s very welcoming to any stars visiting Malaysia. Since more soloists and groups will visit our shores soon, let’s hope for more interactions in the future.
