SEIKO Boutique Opening @ The Exchange TRX
SEIKO recently held the grand opening event for its newest boutique, at The Exchange TRX – and we were there, right on time. The new outlet commemorates the SEIKO Brand’s 100th anniversary since the introduction of its first wristwatch.
To mark the momentous occasion, SEIKO also unveiled the Power Design Project Exhibition 2024 for the first time in Malaysia. The Power Design Project is an experimental initiative for the Japanese watchmaker’s in-house designers to explore the essence of watchmaking beyond traditional limits, expressing their creativity and individual perspectives. Under the theme “Incredibly Specialized Watches,” this year’s exhibition showcases seven unique conceptual designs that epitomise SEIKO’s innovative spirit and technological mastery. Mr Yu Ishihara, the brand’s Design Director of the Design Development Team, who was specially invited to the event, captivated the audience with the unique creative vision behind the seven designs.
Making his inaugural visit to Malaysia since helming the organisation in April 2021, Seiko Watch Corporation President Mr Akio Naito flew in from Japan to officiate the boutique’s grand opening. The event was also graced by key figures from Seiko Watch Corporation, including Mr Yoshikatsu Kawada, Director & Senior Executive Vice President, and Mr Yukiaki Suganuma, Vice President. Mr Joshua Wong, Vice Chairman of Thong Sia Group, also joined the celebration. Adding to the excitement was the special appearance of Welson Sim, Malaysia’s two-time Olympian and SEIKO Prospex Brand Friend. Here’s what went down at the launch:

TUMI’s “Journey To Seoul” Party
From Alvin Chong to Amelia Henderson to Koe Yeet to May Ho, and Azrel Ismail. Lots of familiar faces attended the re-opening of the TUMI outlet at Suria KLCC recently! In celebration of the store’s return, the brand also threw a launch party for their latest Fall 2024 “Journey To Seoul” collection. Drawing inspiration from Seoul, South Korea, this season’s offerings showcase fresh techniques, silhouettes, and colourways that reflect the city’s modern cultural impact and rich traditional heritage.

Discover Hong Kong Pop-up x The Kuan Family
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) recently held an immersive pop-up activation event at Sunway Pyramid to celebrate the launch of its Hong Kong Hidden Gems regional campaign. While famous for its spectacular skylines and vibrant streets, Hong Kong boasts a wealth of hidden treasures waiting to be uncovered – from Upper Lascar Row’s eclectic mix of antique shops and thrift stores, to Tsz Shan Monastery. As part of the campaign, HKTB has curated a list of hidden gems for Malaysians to add to their Hong Kong travel bucket list that will take them through nature & adventure, arts & culture, shop & play, and food & drinks.
In addition to the lucky draw contest affording two participants each a pair of return flight AirAsia tickets to Hong Kong, fans also showed up at Sunway Pyramid to meet couple Jestinna Kuan and Danny Lee, together with the Kuan Family, and hear them share stories and experiences from their recent family trip to Hong Kong.

Miss Universe Malaysia 2024 Finalists Unveiling
The Miss Universe Malaysia Organization (MUMO) proudly revealed the Top 16 finalists for Miss Universe Malaysia 2024 during a press conference at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur. This year’s competition, guided by the theme “Beauty Beyond You,” is marked by its inclusivity and diversity, thanks to the recent removal of upper age limits and the restriction on married participants. The finalists reflect a rich tapestry of backgrounds and experiences from across Malaysia, each bringing their own unique story and perspective to the competition.
Among the standout contestants are seasoned beauty pageant veterans and professionals with extensive experience in the fashion industry, all competing for the prestigious crown. The group also includes a distinguished law graduate from Tsinghua University in China, who adds an intellectual flair to the lineup. Additionally, the finalists feature a medical student, a dedicated social worker, a Research & Development lab technician and chemist, a recruiter, and even a mermaid diving instructor.

M&M’s “Fun For All” Campaign @ 1Utama
You can’t spell ‘fun’ without ‘chocolate’. Actually, you can, but the point we’re making is that chocolate is everything! M&M recently introduced its long-awaited “Fun For All” campaign, which aims to reinforce the brand’s commitment to making everyone feel like they belong.
The campaign will last until this weekend at Centre Concourse, 1Utama, so be sure to bring your friends and family for a day filled with exciting activities and prizes to be won! Not only that, but you’ll also get to enjoy M&M’s limited-time ice cream, which, by the way, is absolutely delicious!

SANDRO & Maje F/W24 Collection Preview
We had the opportunity to check out the latest drops from SANDRO Paris and Maje Paris! The two fashion houses’ Fall/Winter 2024 collections have landed in Malaysia, and we previewed all the items before they’re made available to the public.
SANDRO’s collection comprises four capsule collections for women and four more for men. The collections are perfect for the autumn and winter seasons, offering style in many silhouettes. Maje’s FW24 collection also features four capsule collections which showcase different styles that are perfect for everyday wear, the office, a night out, and that effortless Parisian chic look. SANRO and Maje’s FW24 collections are now available in stores at SANDRO and Maje Suria KLCC and The Exchange TRX.
