Kids can pull off some of the funniest things with a cheeky charm that makes it hard to stay mad at them. Recently, a schoolboy went viral on social media after netizens found out he took his home television remote control to school, perhaps to spite his family members.

Twitter user @/ricxxxkiddo recently shared a WhatsApp conversation between a local mother and a school teacher. According to the screenshot, the mother had contacted the teacher, Iza, to check whether her son, Islam, had his home television remote control in his school bag. The mother followed up, saying the family had been searching the entire home for the remote, worried that the young boy might have taken it to school.

The teacher complied with the mother’s peculiar request and, sure enough, found the remote control in the boy’s possession. Funnily enough, the teacher then took a picture of the student posing with the remote with a cheeky grin. The Twitter post was captioned, “If I can’t watch TV, then everyone else can’t watch it either – a filial child”, and has since gotten over 600,000 views.

Many netizens have also reacted to the post, expressing amusement over the situation. Many found the boy’s antics funny, jokingly calling him sly for pranking his family members. Some revealed they have also experienced similar incidents as teachers with their students. Others admitted to accidentally bringing their home TV remote to school when they were younger, saying they remembered being scared about getting scolded by their parents. However, some individuals also criticised the parent for bothering the teacher over such trivial matters.

We don’t know what prompted the young boy to bring the remote to school – but we’re sure this incident will remind the parents to check their son’s bag before he leaves for school. What are your thoughts about this?
