New posters for “Saimdang, Light’s Diary” (사임당, 빛의 일기) have been revealed!
The highly-anticipated sageuk (historical) K-Drama revolves around a Korean art history lecturer named Seo Ji Yoon (played by Lee Young Ae) and her discovery of historical Joseon artist Shin Saimdang’s (also played by Lee) diary.
The posters show actress Park Hye Soo (of “Age of Youth” fame) and actor Yang Se Jong (of “Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim” fame) as young Saimdang and young Lee Gyeom respectively.
“The scenes that show Saimdang and Lee Gyeom’s childhood are very important. That’s when they go through a crucial event that changes their lives, and it’s also the beginning of a lifelong relationship between the two. Park Hye Soo and Yang Se Jong portrayed the scenes very well in a unique, yet stable way. Please look forward to it,” said a source from the drama’s production team.
“Saimdang, Light’s Diary” premieres with double episodes exclusively on Oh!K (Astro Ch 394) on 26th January 2017 (Thursday) at 9pm, same time as Korea. New episodes air every Wednesday and Thursday at 9pm.
