Oh dear, Tan Sri Adenan Satem has passed away 🙁
Reports say that Sarawak Chief Minister died just a few hours ago, approximately 1:20pm, at the Sarawak General Hospital Heart Centre in Kota Samarahan.
The Star reported that Adenan, who lead the Barisan Nasional (BN) to a resounding victory in the last Sarawak election – winning 72 state seats, died of a heart attack.
The respected leader had previously spoken about his close encounter with death due to a heart ailment 4 years ago. “3 years ago I was very sick. I was at the National Heart Institute (IJN in Kuala Lumpur) and in Singapore. And there was a time I thought I was going. I called all my relatives, my children and grandchildren,” he told Bernama.
He would have turned 73 on 27th January 2017.
