Fifteen years have passed since the world lost Michael Jackson at 50 years old, but his family continues to honour his legacy with heartfelt tributes.
Michael Jackson tragically passed at the age of 50 on 25th June 2009 and his sudden death shocked fans all over the world. On the 15th anniversary of his death, family members including son Prince and sister LaToya took to social media to honour the late King of Pop. His son, Prince shared a touching message, writing “Miss you pops. The world felt better with you in it“, alongside a photo of Michael surrounded by young singers.
LaToya Jackson also shared a poignant tribute on Instagram, posting a slideshow with iconic photos of her brother, set to his song “Gone Too Soon” from 1993. In her caption, La Toya celebrated Michael’s exuberant talent and wrote, “You changed the world with such exuberant talent in many ways!!! We love you! We will always miss you!” Tito Jackson, known for his role in the Jackson 5, also marked the anniversary with a heartfelt black-and-white photo of Michael. His hashtags, including “15 years without Michael Jackson,” “gone too soon,” and “always in our hearts,” conveyed the family’s enduring love and remembrance.
Brother Jackie Jackson joined in the tributes with a personal Instagram post, reminiscing, “Hard to believe it’s been 15 years without you. We miss you everyday,” alongside a throwback photo of himself with young Michael. Meanwhile, Tito’s son, TJ Jackson, expressed deep gratitude and love for his uncle Michael. He wrote, “I miss you so much Uncle Michael. Thank you for all you did for me, I will always feel like the luckiest nephew to have you as an eternal source of strength, guidance and love. I love you forever.”
As the world continues to remember the late star, the anticipation builds for Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming biopic “Michael”, which set to release in 2025. With Michael’s nephew Jaafar Jackson portraying him, the biopic will undoubtedly be a significant moment for fans and family alike to celebrate and remember his extraordinary life and career.
