Ramadan is a time deeply rooted in togetherness, reflection, and the comforting ritual of sharing meals with loved ones. Across Malaysia, the season often brings a sense of nostalgia, evoking memories of balik kampung gatherings, familiar home-cooked dishes, and long evenings spent reconnecting around the dining table. It’s this warmth and sentiment that continues to shape many Ramadan dining experiences today.
This year, that spirit comes alive at Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur with its “Bila Rasa Berbicara” Nightly Feast, running from 19th February to 20th March 2026. Designed as a celebration of flavours, memories, and community, the buffet invites diners to rediscover the comforting taste of traditional kampung cooking alongside modern culinary highlights.

At the heart of the experience is the culinary team at Melting Pot Cafe, who have curated a menu centred on cherished Malay classics. Dishes such as Gulai Tunjang Masak Lemak Cili Api, Sambal Tumis Udang Petai, Asam Pedas Tetel, and Siput Sedut Masak Lemak showcase rich, bold flavours rooted in heritage recipes passed down through generations.
The spread also features nostalgic and rarely seen delicacies that reflect the essence of home-style cooking. Highlights include Telur Itik Masak Lemak Cili Padi, Gulai Ketam Nipah, and hearty soups like Sup Gearbox, Sup Tulang Rawan, and Sup Kambing, each prepared to evoke familiar kampung flavours.

Adding a contemporary dimension to the buffet is the introduction of the Josper charcoal grill from Spain. Using natural charcoal heat, the grill enhances meats and seafood with a distinctive smoky aroma while retaining juiciness and depth of flavour.
Specialities from the grill include Johor-style Pepes Ikan and Ayam, Ayam Percik, Ayam Tandoori, Korean-style chicken wings, Australian mini ribeye steaks, and New Zealand lamb shoulder. These fire-grilled offerings bring a lively contrast to the traditional dishes, creating a more dynamic dining experience.

Beyond Malay cuisine, the buffet extends into a diverse selection of international and regional favourites. Guests can explore live cooking stations featuring freshly grilled seafood, roast whole lamb served with fragrant briyani rice, and a chilled seafood-on-ice section offering oysters, mussels, and prawns.
Additional highlights include Japanese sashimi and sushi, freshly prepared Mee Tarik Lanzhou, and local street-style favourites such as murtabak and roti John. The Grana Padano cheese wheel pasta station adds a Western touch, offering warm pasta tossed in aged cheese for a rich, creamy finish.

The feast concludes with an indulgent dessert selection that blends traditional sweets with playful modern treats. Live stations prepare fresh onde-onde and a unique kuih popiah peanut ice cream wrap, while classics such as ABC ais kacang and tau foo fah provide a refreshing end to the meal.
Priced at RM198 nett per person, with selected promotional dates at RM178 nett, the buffet also offers a 50% discount for children aged 6 to 11. To enhance the festive atmosphere, nightly performances by the Begema 5 Batak Band provide a lively musical backdrop, completing an experience that captures the warmth and spirit of Ramadan gatherings.
