Rapid Bus, the operator of Rapid KL’s On-Demand van service in the Klang Valley, is set to simplify travel for commuters with the launch of a unified booking platform this November. The upgrade will combine multiple apps into one central system while expanding coverage zones across key areas, offering passengers a more convenient and connected experience.
The move will see the company merge its three existing booking apps: Mobi, Trek Rides and Kummute, into a single integrated application known as Rapid On-Demand. Acting Chief Executive Officer Ku Jamil Zakaria said the change aims to improve accessibility and streamline the booking process for users throughout the Klang Valley.

“This integration will be carried out in phases, starting with zones currently using the Mobi and Trek Rides apps (Phase 1) on 1st November 2025 (Saturday), followed by zones using the Kummute app (Phase 2) in mid-November. With this integration, users will only need one app to make Rapid On-Demand bookings across all Rapid KL-operated zones, making travel simpler, faster and more user-friendly,” said the Acting Chief Executive Officer.
Alongside the app upgrade, Rapid Bus will also expand its On-Demand service zones in stages to strengthen last-mile connectivity. The new coverage areas will involve 50 vans operating routes such as Metro Prima Station – Kepong Botanic Gardens (FRIM), Serdang Raya Selatan Station – Taman Bukit Serdang, and Semantan Station – Menara DBKL – Semantan Station – KTM Segambut.

Ku Jamil noted that the expansion will enhance service coverage and reduce the need for users to switch between platforms. “Previously, users had to download and use different apps depending on the zone, which could cause confusion. With a single app, the booking process becomes simpler, faster and more consistent across all coverage areas,” he said.
The Rapid On-Demand app is available for free on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Existing users of Mobi, Trek Rides and Kummute are advised to transition to the new platform before 1st November 2025 to ensure uninterrupted access. More information on the updated zones and usage guides can be found on Rapid KL’s official website and through its official social media channels.
