In this day and age, getting a really well-paid job is almost impossible to do. Malaysia is placed 45th out of 64 countries for lowest minimum wage. And sadly, most of it goes towards basic necessities, too. Which, admittedly, does not look great at all.

That is why when Malaysian politician, Rafizi Ramli, tweeted that fresh graduates’ salaries at his company are much higher than the average, the Malaysian community was especially shocked. The tweet immediately went viral with netizens’ varied reactions.

Fresh grad – starting salary RM3,200.

Increment for the last 3 years average 8-10%, minimum 6% and can go as high as 20%.

Aku je yg xde salary increment 🤣 https://t.co/rPF6c0mKuP

Rafizi Ramli is a Malaysian politician who served as Member of Parliament. He is also on the board of directors and founder of a digital marketing company called INVOKE. Just recently, the Malaysian politician admitted on his Twitter page that he pays fresh university graduate salaries as high as RM3,200.

“Fresh graduate – starting salary RM3,200. Increment for the last 3 years averaged from 8 – 10%, a minimum of 6% and can go as high as 20%. I’m the only one who won’t get any salary increments,” he stated in his official Twitter account.

I can verify this. Haha

This was later acknowledged by Twitter user Zahin Zulkipli, who said, “I can verify this. Haha.” According to The Vocket, the man is an employee at INVOKE, where he works as a software engineer under Rafizi Ramli himself. The tweet also drew many other INVOKE employees, all confirming his statement.

Scrolling through the Twitter comments, netizens were shocked at the remuneration amount and increments earned by workers at INVOKE. One netizen said that the salary is so high that one can only gain it after working for 5 years. Another praised the politician for being a good paymaster towards his employees. One shocked commenter said that despite having 10 years of experience, his pay has remained low for almost 3 years.

After the tweet, many netizens shared that they now want to work with the politician under INVOKE. This goes to show that if you treat your employees right, they will work harder and better for you. In turn, you’ll get all the benefits and a good reputation. Way to go, Rafizi Ramli!
