Social media was abuzz recently after a Russian YouTuber burned his Mercedes-AMG worth RM1.8 million for a video content.

This time, a local YouTuber that goes by the name of Isa Isarb had also decided to destroy a car for a video on his channel which was uploaded last weekend.

In the video, Isa explained that a friend of his, who is also one of his staff, drives a Proton Iswara that’s in a terrible condition. As a token of appreciation for their friendship, he wanted to surprise his friend, Faizal, by gifting him a brand new car (a Proton Aruz).

However, it wasn’t going to be that easy. Isa initially decided to prank Faizal by burning the car before surprising him with the new vehicle. He told Faizal to help record a “drift” video which involved his Iswara being driven around on a wet muddy field.

During the “drift” shooting, Isa and his crew purposely broke the car windows and punctured the tires to get more reaction from Faizal. It worked according to plan, but they had to change their location when authorities came and advised against burning the car in public.

At the new location, the crew proceeded to destroy Faizal’s car by hitting it with fire extinguishers and other tools, causing him to be furious and confused at the same time. Nevertheless, the look on his face turned into a smile after Isa surprised him with a brand new Proton Aruz, and revealed that it was all planned.

Even though it was all happy and dandy at the end, the video got a mixed bag of reactions from netizens who saw the video. Most of them were touched by Isa’s act on buying his friend a new car, but a few of them felt that the prank was inappropriate.

If destroying cars is the current trend among YouTubers, who knows what kind of stunts these content creators would pull in the future.
