In a surprising turn of events, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was elected as Malaysia’s 8th Prime Minister over the weekend where he took his oath before Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at Istana Negara.
However, what caught netizens’ attention was the similar-looking template used for his congratulatory poster. Secret Recipe anyone?
At first glance without looking at the text, a few people thought that Secret Recipe was offering a promotion in celebration of Muhyiddin as the new PM. Maybe the country needed some good news in light of the current political crisis.
Don’t rush to the nearest Secret Recipe outlet just yet though. If you look closely at the company’s poster, it’s actually dated back to last year’s Merdeka Day promo on 31st August 2019. Bummer! No cake offers guys 🙁
