Good news drivers, toll rates will be cheaper to coincide with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays.
For a total of 6 days (19th – 21st and 28th – 29th June as well as 3rd July), highway operator PLUS will be offering up to 30% toll rebate for the next 2 weeks.
“It is part of an effort to distribute traffic during festive season and at the same time, reward our customers for their continuous support. The toll rebate is also offered in conjunction with the implementation of the full electronic toll transactions on all PLUS-operated highways since 26th April,” PLUS MD Datuk Azman Ismail was quoted as saying.
In addition, Touch n Go users will also receive a 10% toll rebate when traveling on the aforementioned dates. “The 30% toll rebate for transactions via PLUSMiles cards is aimed at rewarding PLUSMiles loyal customers for their support. The 10% toll rebate, on the other hand, is given for electronic toll transactions via normal Touch n Go cards,” Azman explained.
Do keep in mind that motorists are still required to pay tolls in full during those dates. The 30% and 10% toll rebates will be credited into the cards when drivers top up at all PLUS customer service centres from 15th July till 14th October.
However, toll rebates are not applicable if payments are made these following toll plazas:
- Bukit Kayu Hitam
- Bangunan Sultan Iskandar
- Tanjung Kupang
- Penang Bridge
To keep up with the annual tradition, PLUS has also rolled out a travel time advisory (TTA) for the public in order to plan their journey in a timely manner. The intention is to distribute traffic during peak travel dates.
