Earlier this year, Malaysia Airlines revealed that they were expecting new aircrafts and retrofitting some of their cabins. Well, although the local airline has yet to share more about their upcoming planes, someone else seems to have beaten them to the punch.

Just today (22nd March), photos of an aircraft’s interior were posted online, with one netizen claiming they were of Malaysia Airlines’ new interior. Said photos have since sparked discussions from netizens online about the pros and cons of the setup and upgraded facilities.

The photos showed the interior of a plane, allegedly the Malaysia Airlines’ A330neo, with plenty of space and new additional features. It also included images of the economy and business class seats along with its premium areas and a clear layout of the sections. Netizens have since been scrutinising the photos, with several offering their opinions on the aircraft.

Some have already expressed unhappiness at the seating layout, claiming the 2-4-2 plan for the economy class is “not great for individual travellers“. Others have mourned the usage of high-definition screens, allegedly because they are usually “not maintained well and are always spoiled“.

Others however have defended some design choices, with several insisting the 2-4-2 plan is actually fine. “You’ll only disturb one passenger if you need to visit the toilet,” one pointed out. Another claimed the seats were still made of the same thin leather, but had one plus point. “Better legroom,” they commented.

Malaysia Airlines has regrettably been undergoing harsh criticism from customers, with MAS’ chief executive officer even theorising about reasons for the airline’s downfall. It’s certainly understandable why they are currently attempting to change things, even their staff uniforms.

Well, the supposed aircraft’s interior certainly looks nice, however, we suppose you’ll simply have to experience it for yourself to judge it. What do you guys think? Yay or nay for the alleged new interiors of Malaysia Airlines’ airplanes?
