It’s official – DOLLA is coming back! The Malaysian girl group recently shared new photo and video teasers for their upcoming release, “MWA”, set for release this Friday (9th May 2025).
The girl group recently updated their social media with teasers for their new single. DOLLA previously hinted at the comeback on 1st May (Thursday), dropping the release schedule, which includes what’s to come in the next few days. Just yesterday (4th May), DOLLA released new solo and group photos for their comeback. In the teasers, the trio, made of members Angel, Tabby and Sabronzo, stunned in dramatic hairstyles and dynamic outfits.
The solo teasers also included “suspect files”, which entail information about each member and their “criminal records”. Meanwhile, the concept teaser video shows the group in blond wigs covered in kiss marks, planning for something in a dark room. The video and photo teasers suggest the group is going for a fierce, femme fatale vibe for their new release. One video uploaded in late April showed the members taking fighting lessons, likely for their comeback.
Fans have voiced excitement over DOLLA’s comeback, mostly looking forward to what the girls have up their sleeves. Many also said they’ve been waiting for the comeback news for months. This upcoming release marks the group’s first official comeback as a trio since former member Syasya’s departure in 2024. The group’s most recent release was a non-album single titled “Here4U”, which dropped in August last year.
In addition to dropping the new single, DOLLA will also be holding a release event to celebrate their comeback. According to the release schedule, the event will take place on 10th May 2025 (Saturday). More details on the event will be announced later this week before the release of the “MWA!” music video. The group is also dropping new merchandise for their comeback, which will be available for pre-order on 6th May (Tuesday).
