The 2013 People’s Choice Awards honours best in TV, music, and of course, movies. Chosen by the fans themselves, the awards is mostly dependent on a voting system that would usually go live slightly more than a month prior to the star-studded event. This year’s awards was hosted by Kaley Cuoco (“The Big Bang Theory” star) and held at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
Amongst the nominees, “The Hunger Games” won big at the People’s Choice Awards, bagging “Favourite Movie”, “Favourite Action Movie”, “Favourite Movie Franchise”, and “Favourite On-screen Chemistry”. Jennifer Aniston won “Favourite Comedic Movie Actress” and perpetual poker-faced funny man Adam Sandler won “Favourite Comedic Movie Actor”. And then he gave one of the best acceptance speeches (read: hilarious) before inviting everyone over to Jennifer Aniston’s house for a pizza party.
Katy Perry surprisingly beat Justin Bieber to bagging the “Favourite Pop Artist” award. She also won a number of other gleaming People’s Choice trophies such as “Favourite Female Artist”, “Favourite Music Video”, and “Favourite Music Fan Following”. Whoa! How you “KatyCats” feelin’?
