Popular Chinese singing competition, “Sisters Who Make Waves (乘风破浪的姐姐)”, will return for its seventh season later this March. As usual, the most talked-about subject before each season is the rumoured list of stars who will join the show.
Like the previous seasons, the show will feature 30 female celebrities competing against each other for the chance to debut in a girl group. While broadcaster Mango TV hasn’t announced the official lineup yet, some names are rumoured to join the show. Here are some of the stars reportedly joining the programme:
TVB Leading Ladies

Hong Kong actresses are no strangers to the show, with Myolie Wu (胡杏儿) and Fiona Sit (薛凱琪) among the past contestants. This season, actresses Jessica Hsuan (宣萱) and Selena Lee (李施嬅) are reportedly joining the cast, prompting major reactions from TVB fans in both Kong Kong and mainland China.
Powerhouse Vocalists

A singing competition will naturally attract singers. This season, award-winning vocalists Penny Tai (戴佩妮), Lala Hsu (徐佳莹), and Faye Chan (詹雯婷) of F.I.R fame are allegedly joining the lineup. Since dancing is involved, many are wondering if these powerhouse songstresses can keep up with the intense choreographies.
Girl Group Veterans

Like Jessica Jung (제시카) in Season 3 and Wu Xuan Yi (吴宣仪) in Season 6, Season 7 will also likely feature girl group members. Former SNH48 member Huang Tingting (黄婷婷) and former THE9 member Snow Kong Xueer (孔雪儿) might join the show, bringing their experience to the forefront.
Many other stars, from actresses to television personalities, are rumoured to join the show. For now, we can only wait for the official list to see who is actually appearing in Season 7. Nevertheless, are you excited for “Sisters Who Make Waves”?
